The Maverikk ISV APC is a South African-made armored vehicle designed for internal security forces.
With STANAG III ballistic protection ranging from 5.56x54 API rounds to 12.7x99 NATO BALL rounds (excluding the grille), it is also adequately equipped for most domestic crisis situations.
It is in service with numerous countries, including those in South America (Argentina and Brazil), Africa (Gabon, Ghana, South Africa, Zambia), and Asia (Azerbaijan and, under license, India).
Among the most well-known users of the Maverikk ISV APC are the Brazilian BOPE and CORE police special forces.
With seating for a crew of two, plus 12 additional armed passengers, and a payload capacity of up to 2,000 kg, and a top speed of up to 120 km/h, it is a versatile operational vehicle.
This variant of the ISV (Internal Security Vehicle) is heavily armed with an armored turret equipped with a manually operated KORDS heavy machine gun in 12.7x108mm caliber. It is suitable for extreme situations involving any form of attack that endangers the state and its population.
From armed terrorist attacks to invasions by hostile states, this version of the Maverikk ISV is ready to precisely eliminate so-called soft and lightly armored targets. In some African countries, this version is also used by the military for securing and monitoring sensitive sectors and areas, as well as for convoy escort.
